Janie Brooks made her first piece of jewelry seven years ago. While she refers to that first necklace as an aventurine and copper wire atrocity, the person she gave it to—her loving aunt Andi—encouraged her to continue learning and practicing the art of jewelry-making. While she never stopped making jewelry, Janie spent part of those seven years obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in English from Kennesaw State University. Upon graduating, Janie realized that what she wanted most was to find a way to combine her talents and interests in writing and jewelry-making. Thus, Fontella Arabella was born.
